Dan is President of the Lawyers Division of Aon's Affinity Insurance Services, Inc. In this role, Dan oversees all aspects of the Division, including the Aon Law Firm Solutions group.

Dan began his career in the insurance industry, 18 years ago in his native Virginia, focusing on lawyers professional liability. In 1997, his years of experience in the Virginia professional liability arena were recognized and he was asked to join Aon as head of the regional office in Washington DC. Dan eventually relocated and currently works at Affinity's main office in Hatboro, PA, just outside of Philadelphia.

Dan was born in Lexington, Virginia. He attended Hampden-Sydney College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Dan has spoken at various industry meetings over the years, including local and regional PLUS conferences and ALA Chapter events. Dan is also an associate member of the ABA's Standing Committee on Professional Liability.

Bruce is the Executive Vice President of Aon Law Firm Solutions. Under Bruce's leadership, the group provides brokerage, account management, and risk management services to large law firm clients. In addition to serving as the group leader, Bruce also advises and represents law firms on issues relating to alternative risk transfer strategies, risk management, and risk transfer placement of insurance and reinsurance coverage.

Bruce's career in the insurance industry spans over 35 years, from his beginnings as an underwriter for The Prudential of England in Toronto, Canada to a broker servicing large professional firms including the Big 4 and major US law firms.

After attending York University in Toronto, Bruce became an Associate in the Insurance Institute of Canada and the recipient of three Canadian national awards of excellence. In 1972, he joined Minet Insurance Services, Inc., which became part of Aon Corporation in 1997. Since then, he has been responsible for the insurance needs of the large professional firms.

Additionally, Bruce oversees the PilotLegis program (a risk purchasing group for law firms) and the Attorneys Insurance Mutual Risk Retention Group. In his position with Aon, Bruce's duties involve extensive travel and negotiations with commercial markets located in North America, Bermuda and Europe.

Jim is a Senior Vice President in Aon Law Firm Solutions, specializing in all aspects of the placement of professional liability for law firms. Shortly after graduating law school, Jim started his career at AIG in 1986 in the Miscellaneous Professional Liability Claims Department before moving to the Lawyers Professional Liability Claims Department in 1990. In 1992, Jim moved to the Lawyers Professional Liability Underwriting Department.

He joined Alexander & Alexander (which was subsequently acquired by Aon in 1997) in 1995 as a broker and claims liaison on lawyers professional liability insurance. Jim is very involved with the Attorneys Insurance Mutual Risk Retention Group.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cook College, Rutgers University, and a J.D. degree from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, NY.

Stew is Vice President with Aon Law Firm Solutions focusing on professional liability placement and risk management. With over 36 years of experience in professional liability insurance, Stew has the expertise to provide risk management and claims advice to law firms. Stew received his BA in Economics and History from Eastern Connecticut State College. He spent 20 years developing a sophisticated knowledge of insurance, working for a number of insurance companies, prior to joining the Aon team. Stew has handled an array of complex Professional Liability, Director and Officer's Liability, and Product Liability claims for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, as well as managing their offices in Connecticut and California.

In 1980, Stew turned to international insurance and managed offices for American International Underwriters/AIG in San Francisco, the Virgin Islands, Walnut Creek and New York. While in New York, Stew was responsible for the AIU Home Office casualty-examining unit, which oversaw worldwide catastrophic casualty claims. In 1990, he joined Compro Insurance, which was later purchased by Minet Insurance Services, Inc. and then Aon Corporation.

Stew holds the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and ARM (Associate of Risk Management) designations. He is an Associate Member of the ABA's Standing Committee on Lawyers' Professional Liability and a member of PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriting Society). Stew holds a resident broker's license in California and non-resident licenses in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

As Vice President with Aon Law Firm Solutions, Rick brings 16 years of experience dedicated to professional liability insurance underwriting and account management. Rick began his career at a large insurance brokerage firm working with several associations including state and local bar associations, certified public accountants, and medical/dental societies.

Hailing from the Southwest, and with educational ties to the University of Arizona, Rick compliments the team with solid product knowledge, relationship building, and client enterprise risk management.

Rick attended special training at Professional Liability Underwriters Management (PLUM) to obtain underwriting authority for the Pennsylvania Bar sponsored insurance program. In 2004, he obtained the insurance credential of RPLU (Registered Professional Liability Underwriter). He is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriters Society and is working toward his CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) designation.

Bob brings a unique dimension to the Aon Law Firm Solutions group, focusing on both client support, and marketing and sales leadership for the lawyers division. As an accounting graduate of Arizona State University, Bob's career began as a CPA with a small, a midsize and a "Big 4" firm. His financial background, coupled with experience as a professional advisor, created a foundation that launched a 20-year career in law firm management.

As Chief Operating Officer of three prestigious Bay Area firms, Bob was deeply involved with risk management and professional liability programs. Bob was appointed to serve as a board representative and loss prevention team member with both the PilotLegis RPG and Attorneys Insurance Mutual Inc., RRG affinity groups.

In his role as Vice President for Business Development at Aon, Bob draws from his "buyer's orientation" and experience to help the Aon Law Firm Solutions team tailor insurance solutions that are client-centric and specific to the needs of the profession.

As Senior Vice President, Joe oversees the Boston, Chicago, Washington, DC and Salt Lake City Affinity Insurance Services offices. Joe brings over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry to his clients. Born and raised in the insurance capital of America, Hartford, CT, Joe graduated Providence College of RI, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. Joe began his career with Aon in Philadelphia (Trevose, PA) working with our operations, underwriting and marketing groups. He then moved to Aon's Chicago office working with various business units, though focusing on professional firm malpractice. In 1997, he moved to Boston with the Aon acquisitions of Alexander & Alexander and Minet, where his focus and accomplishments centered around the lawyers insurance business. His years of experience with various Aon divisions have provided him with a unique perspective on the products and services attorneys need; and he imbues his teams with that knowledge, fostering a winning work ethic and an open communication style.

Joe has been a speaker at many industry events notably, the Rhode Island Bar Association annual conference, Association of Legal Administrators chapter events and, most recently for the Boston Lawyers Network. Joe has also cultivated and managed the Aon relationship with the Rhode Island Bar Association for over 10 years.

As Senior Vice President of the Aon Law Firm Solutions group, Margaret is responsible for performing risk assessments for law firms nationwide, and for providing other risk management-related services to brokers, lawyers' malpractice insurance carriers and state bar associations.

Margaret brings considerable risk management expertise to the Aon Law Firm Solutions team, having worked with law firms in this context since 1991. Prior to that, from 1987-1991, Margaret was a practicing attorney. She also serves as Executive Director of PilotLegis, a mid-size law firm risk purchasing group. As Executive Director, Margaret manages the day-to-day activities of the membership, including coordinating and overseeing on-site risk reviews, member intake and risk management programs.

Margaret is a graduate of Northwestern University and William Mitchell College of Law. Her career in the insurance industry began in 1992, and includes experience as an officer with Zurich. There she performed on-site due diligence of, and provided legal malpractice risk management services to, large and mid-sized law firms. Margaret is a former member of the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Lawyers Professional Liability. During her tenure, she was Chair of two Standing Committee National Conferences, and was active in the area of risk management education.

Dan is a Vice President with the Aon Law Firm Solutions group. His insurance career began in Calgary, Alberta, in 1980, as a Commercial Lines Underwriter for Guardian Insurance Company of Canada. In 1988, he joined Minet International Professional Indemnity, working on legal professional liability for mid-sized and large US law firms. With the acquisition of Minet by Aon in 1997, Dan brought his professional liability expertise to Aon's Affinity Insurance lawyers group.
Dan served as an instructor for the Insurance Institute of Canada for four years. He has appeared as a speaker at the ABA Standing Committee on Lawyers Professional Liability, as well as at the national conference of the Association of Legal Administrators. Dan speaks on the topic of policy coverage issues.

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law, George practiced law in the San Francisco Bay area for eight years before joining Minet Insurance Services, Inc., which later became a part of Aon. George has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and has specialized in professional liability insurance for the last nine years.
